Fellow Lions:
I am both humbled and honored to serve as your President this year. I have always felt it was my duty to give back to the community by volunteering my time. To that end, I am committed to helping not only strengthen the Salisbury Lions’ Club, but also to help our community and those less fortunate.
The purpose of this message is to ask that you ask yourself,“AM I COMMITTED?” to “lionism”. I hope that each and every one of us is committed to serving our community. Our club has a variety of different projects in which to commit ourselves. One can fry chicken, partake in a bike ride fundraiser, sell discount cards, participate in a Christmas shopping spree for the underprivileged and help with eye exams for pre-schoolers.
This coming year, don’t be afraid to participate or undertake a project within our club. Don’t be afraid to sit with another member you may not know and discuss your commitment to “lionism”. To that end, I hope to expand our communication level between all the members, the board of directors, and myself. It is my sincere desire to improve the website, get information to members, provide a consistent Vox Leo and keep new members who are inducted into our club. My mantra for the year is “COMMUNICATE YOUR COMMITMENT”. If we all do that, the rest will take care of itself. If we all commit ourselves to the Salisbury Lions’, our projects will be fully chaired and manned and we will raise money to help the needy and those with sight and hearing problems.
I look forward to serving this year and please contact me at any time if you should have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Bruce Anderson King Lion
