Knights for Sight Metric Century

August 21, 2010

Tour the scenic back roads of Maryland’s Eastern Shore (and Delaware) while helping to alleviate the suffering of blindness in the world.

Seventy-two years ago, Helen Keller challenged the Lions Club International with these words:

“Will you not help me hasten the day when there shall be no preventable blindness; no little deaf, blind children untaught; no blind man or woman unaided? I appeal to you Lions, you who have your sight and hearing, you who are strong and brave and kind. Will you not constitute yourselves Knights of the Blind in this crusade against darkness?”

You can help the Salisbury Lions Club meet the challenge by simply joining us for a leisurely ride through the small towns and rural byways of Delmarva. We’ll do the rest, providing stops for refreshment along the way, sag support, a cue sheet and map, and a short-sleeved T-shirt. So come along and become a Knight for Sight!  You’ll be glad you did!

Ride is Show N Go

Registration is 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.
